You are all out of control. The very idea of Rick Fielding mucking about in the buff...oh me.
Well, I went to that nude beach to have a little sea side fun
Stretched out in by birthday suit soaking up some sun
Someone said "There's an old white whale washed up on the shore"
I just dont look good naked anymore..

I dont fall in love easily, but I have become quite fond of all you folks. (Just dont spread it around, after all I live in New England.) :-)

I've been coming here just a short time, but I have already begun to feel close to this group. The Mudcat reminds me of a neighborhood pub where you can drop in, participate in all of the conversations at once, and leave and come back, picking up where you left off. (Were there enough commas in that sentence?) I think it's a great mix of serious music scholarship and outrageous silliness with a large dash of mutual support thrown in for good measure. I hope to meet some of you in person someday.

sillyness?/?? who's allowing sillyness here????? I thought this was for serious stuff?????!!!!!!

All this reminds me of Bill Staines song "Bridges":

"There are bridges, bridges in the sky, They are shining in the sun.
They are stone and steel and wood and wire, They can change two things to one.
They are languages and letters, They are poetry and all.
They are love and understanding, And they're better than a wall.

There are canyons, there are canyons, They are yawning in the night.
They are rank and bitter anger, They are all devoid of light.
They are fear and blind suspicion, They are apathy and pride,
They are dark and so foreboding And they're oh, so very wide.

Let us build a bridge of music, Let us cross it with a song.
Let us span another canyon, Let us right another wrong.
And if someone should ask us where we're off and bound today
We will tell them "building bridges" and be off and on our way."

Hurrah for music.......and the bridges it builds.....

SOB! GROAN! SHUCKS SHOOT!

I didn't make Big Mick's list! And after I taught him everything he knows about women. Oh well. Think I'll just slink no over to the Mudcat Tavern, drown my hurt and sulk.

Mbo -- For a fella that purports not to imbibe in the vile black stuff or any other sort of kickapoo joy juice, I definitely think you have totally lost it, my dear.

But, that's OK -- if we can't sincerely slobber over other 'Catters, who then can we slobber over?

Jaysus, ain't I profound at times?

With a hearty wink, wink, nudge, nudge to y'all, Áine
