Well, I've been trying to find the right Dr King words and taken in their entirity all the bases would be covered but, hey, that would fill up several thousand screens so...

... from Dr. King's last address the SCLC:

"...the road ahead will not always be smooth. There will still be rocky places of frustration and meandering points of bewilderment. There will be inevitable setbacks here and there. There will be those moments when the bouyancy of hope will be transformed into the fatigue of despair. Our dreams will sometimes be shattered and our ethereal hopes blasted.... Difficult and painfull as it is, we must walk on in the days ahead with an audacious faith in the future..."

Yeah, that's about what Dr. King would tell Barack Obama and our nation today....

PLEASE don't do Obama the diservice of equating him to Dr. King....

King's role and leadership would not have been possible, much less successful, had he aspired to political office.

Obama's potential and promise is as the head-of-state of our nation. His potential is that of a political unifier and sanctioned political leader by way of the electorate.    Very different from the role of MLK.
