Jane Armour has been through Matt's office papers but is unable to find any details of bookings for the Song Loft for after March, apart from Tich Frier and Quicksilver whose dates she has.

She asks that if anyone apart from the above two acts has a definite booking from April onwards, can they please contact her straightaway. She is worried about the approaching advertising deadline, and may have to fill in the blanks by rebooking them with someone else.

If you know of anybody whom this might affect - or think you do - can you please pass this message on to them immediately? With many thanks -

Time to refresh this notice, methinks.

PLEASE NOTE: The "nostalgic" reception will now be held at The Bull Hotel in Stony Stratford after the service which is still at St Mary's and St Giles' church in Stony on Thursday the 26th Feb at 2:00pm.

That message comes from Matt's new website

PS: It would be good if folks could go sign the tribute page on Matt's site, if they haven't already.

Just learned that Matt had died. I met him at Lancaster some years ago and bought a CD. I've sang many of his songs over the years, and they have been well received. I'll 'raise a glass and sing a song' for you now Matt. Good to have met you.

We'll walk through the fields that my father once tilled
Talk to the old men who once sailed with me
Man it's been awfully good
I've shown them all I could
Of the past and the present, what the future might be
