Wonder if it is down behind the bench. My guitar case was slipping, if that tin was on the same sill, it may have gotten knocked down, when I moved the case.

Barden has lost his tin with picks and cards capo's, blue tack and all sorts of things in it. It's painted blue, has John B on it and canal boat type painting. He had put it (on the windowsill where he was sitting at the Nags Head ).

Nova and Mary say that they have cleaned at the pub and it's not there. Did anyone pick it up to be helpful?

Also, John, as I said, I played it to the young lad that I teach and he loved it - wanted to take a copy of it for his mobile phone!!

Another great session RB. well done. JB the first 1min 47 secs of the recording of "Marks on the Grass" was perfect. It was a pity some A...OLE spoilt it. Movement of the public is acceptable in a session as it adds to the atmosphere, however being barged out of the way does go a little too far, I will say no more as to the mentality or the reputation of the person.
involved.
I have a few performers on the editing table and i will post them asap.
Looking forward to the next session RB....PS: have you tried gargling with 'Muddy Water".

What a wonderful time we had.

Hello Noreen, TY for the compliment. Loved your suil a riun.
I am just happy that I actually made it through House of the Rising Sun without shaking too badly (I hope). Have to say I was very nervous about playing guitar in front of the professionals.

Richard thanks for the invite over after.

Fisheye, please be cruel when you edit that film. I rather like the cutting room floor.

So sorry that TDL didn't make it.

Just found this thread!

Stewart and I had a lovely weekend, sightseeing, meeting new people and making and listening to music. Wish we lived closer so we could attend regularly.

Thank you Richard for your hospitality and for your folkie caravan, which will now go on to visit more and different festivals- perhaps it should have a visitors book to record where it's been and who it has met?!

I am trying to link some names on this thread to faces from today's sing.

I had already met Essex Girl, Dead Horse and Kay of the flying feet, and have now met Richard.
melodeon boy I can work out, he of the powerful shirt and even more powerful voice,
VirginiaTam I have worked out from the American accent- lovely House of the Rising Sun!
Don(Wyziwyg)T I worked out from his guitar (and Mudcat badge!)
Growler I heard someone mention, with the poorly foot
Fisheye with the camera, I presume
and
Dilligaf who arrived just as we were leaving.

Who else was there that I may have heard of on this thread and from elsewhere on the Mudcat?

No TDL - alas.

We had a lovely afternoon. Noreen and Stuart came and took my little old caravan away, and stayed for a few songs - they were great.

An un-named friend came with VT and the Silent One and she was wonderful too.

We drank the barrel dry by 1730 and I hnd to go onto whisky. Shame really. Perhaps I should learn "Drink the barrel dry".

My voice which was not wholly recovered from its failure Monday/Tuesday is now gone again, so I hope I will be able to lecture tomorrow eve!

Hang On Richard has shown ME on his link above That William Willet has Nowt to do with BST.
BST. Introduced 1916.
William Willet,s Double Summertime only lasted from 1940 until 1945.

I always thought That William Willet was the inventor of D.S.T. and B.S.T. was the post war and present day name.

Thanks Richard.
