Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: michaelr Date: 26 Feb 09 - 06:31 PM The yuku site seems to be a playground for something called the United Fascists Union. I'm not making this up. |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: Bonnie Shaljean Date: 26 Feb 09 - 06:19 PM Trouble with Facebook - as far as I can see - is that you actually have to join it to view anybody's page, which means having a page of your own and your name going into their database (or whatever you call it). I'd rather just be able to blog, like we used to do on the Annexe. I like FailteFolk (haven't visited Carol's site yet) but we really need a quorum. My partner jokes about me needing to join Mudcat Anonymous (at least he thinks he's joking...) |

Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: John MacKenzie Date: 26 Feb 09 - 05:16 PM Hmm that's a bummer. I will see if I can change the parameters |

Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: wysiwyg Date: 26 Feb 09 - 02:19 PM OK, but my post stands. When I'm multitasking at the puder I'm usually hip deep in REAL stuff and I forget 90% of Mudcat is BS. [friendly raspberry] ~S~ |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: katlaughing Date: 26 Feb 09 - 02:12 PM Yep, I think he said it with a *straight* face...gotta watch for that tongue bulge in his cheek.:-) |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: Jim Dixon Date: 26 Feb 09 - 02:02 PM I'm not sure, but I think JohnInKansas was pulling our legs. |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: wysiwyg Date: 26 Feb 09 - 01:26 PM If you trace this thread it will not show up when the Cat is down because Trace is within-the-Cat. I am sure what he meant was to bookmark those or save this thread to hard disk now, for later. It's also a good reminder-time to be sure you have offCat contact info for people here with whom you may be in the middle of some messaging, or who matter to you most. How I do it is I send them a PM with "My Contact Info" as the subject so it's easily found later in my PM storehouse, cuz when they reply it's already titled that way. ~S~ |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 26 Feb 09 - 01:17 PM ""What would be the appeal of an unmoderated forum?"" We've had umpteen threads going round and round about that. And then going round and round again in the other direction... |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: Rifleman (inactive) Date: 26 Feb 09 - 01:08 PM "What would be the appeal of an unmoderated forum?" the answers to this question are legion....think |

Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: JohnInKansas Date: 26 Feb 09 - 12:54 PM And let's remind everyone to trace this thread so that they can check where to go if the 'cat is down. John |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: maeve Date: 26 Feb 09 - 12:17 PM What is very nice is to have two places to gather when the 'Cat is offline, or any other time. Thanks, John Thanks, Carol. |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: Richard Bridge Date: 26 Feb 09 - 12:00 PM Yes, I heard it was very moderated. I think you may have said so here. |
Subject: RE: While Max is moving... From: John MacKenzie Date: 26 Feb 09 - 09:17 AM There is also this one Richard, and it IS moderated. Several Mudcatters are member there, and use it to check up, when they can't get into Mudcat, just to see if anyone else shares their problem. JM |
Subject: While Max is moving... From: Richard Bridge Date: 26 Feb 09 - 08:51 AM I thought I would remind you aall of the unmoderated forum to which CarolC kindly drew our attention a while back. I seem to be the only one of us there so far, but who knows? http://acousticguitartalktalktalk.yuku.com/ |
