Subject: RE: BS: Cat left in the cold ....caption From: wysiwyg Date: 02 Apr 09 - 01:55 PM With all due respect, if I am invited (by a thread title) to add a caption, I'm expecting a clickie to a photo, not a video. I'll be less likely to participate in what had been a fun type of threads, if we're gonna just go to videos. My $0.03. ~S~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Cat left in the cold ....caption From: Alice Date: 02 Apr 09 - 02:11 PM S, other caption threads have been videos, too. If I link a video in the future, I'll let you know it is a video in the first message. I used to have an old computer that could not access youtube, so I understand. |

Subject: RE: BS: Cat left in the cold ....caption From: wysiwyg Date: 02 Apr 09 - 04:15 PM Thanks, Alice. And yeah-- I know, I can mouse-over a link to see if it's a video. Have pity on an old lady and help me out by making it very clear when it's a video, and I'll appreciate it extra. :~) ~S~ |

Subject: RE: BS: Cat left in the cold ....caption From: Joe_F Date: 03 Apr 09 - 08:33 PM In my college biology course, the professor came in one day carrying a Siamese cat by the scruff of its neck, and he had a put somber expression on his face so that the class would be afraid he was going to dissect it. It turned out, of course, that he was only going to talk about its biochemistry. The reason a Siamese has black extremities is that those are the coolest parts, and somewhere in the chain of reactions leading to its pigments there is a temperature-sensitive enzyme. If you keep a Siamese cat outdoors in the winter, or keep it in a refrigerator, it will turn black all over. |
