Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - myspace From: WalkaboutsVerse Date: 23 Nov 09 - 06:31 AM If you wish to personalise your page, Steve, there are free (apart from having to put up with a link) myspace editors - the one I used (see just above my http://myspace.com/walkaboutsverse Top Friends) was simple and effective enough. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - myspace From: GUEST,John from Elsie`s Band Date: 23 Nov 09 - 06:10 AM For weeks now I have been unable to manage our site on MySpace notwithstanding communication with the "office". All I get is the message, " Whoops, an unexpected error has occurred......" Is anyone else experiencing this?? |

Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - myspace From: Acorn4 Date: 15 May 09 - 12:15 PM I made this mistake myself when I accidentally set up a "civilian" page instead of a "musician" one. It took several days to work through the deletion process. The problem is that you can only have one page per email address, and even when you've deleted you page it will still come up with the message that the email address is already in use. I operate 3 pages, one for my own songs, one for us as a duo and one for the Guidecats project. The way I've done this is to set up a separate "live hotmail" address for each page. The link is:- http://mail.live.com You can then let your unwanted page just die a natural death. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - myspace From: Steve Benbows protege Date: 15 May 09 - 10:36 AM Sorry been with out the internet for a couple of days. I have realised I have signed up with the personal one (which I now have two.....) Does anyone have a quick way to get rid of a personal page? I did the search on here and there were no specific instruction to what needed to be done to create an account where I can upload music. However, it has been answered here and so thanks to you all. I should be recording soon and so can get the tracks uploaded and pages live. Peter. |

Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - myspace From: katlaughing Date: 08 May 09 - 07:16 PM If you put "myspace" in the Thread Titles search box and use the drop down menu to set the date back two years, then hit Enter, you will see a bunch of myspace threads come up. I am not sure which one greg refers to, but it looks as though there is a lot available. I used an artist page to put up a couple of files of me reading some of my writings. I haven't publicised it or done anything with it because I don't like the way I sound, so am going to redo it. It felt kind of odd to pretend to be a "band" yet just be me, but there's no problem with doing it as GP says. Good luck and have fun! |

Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - mysapce From: Acorn4 Date: 08 May 09 - 11:16 AM ...if you're a solo artist, you can still use this even though it says "Bands". |
Subject: RE: Tech: Help please - mysapce From: Acorn4 Date: 08 May 09 - 11:15 AM The most important thing to remember is that there are two kinds of Myspace page -the "standard" and the "artist" - if you want to put up tracks you have recorded yourself, you will need to create an "artist" page:- this is the form you need:- http://signups.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=signupBand |
