SINS looks around a bit disappointed. "The place is a bit bare" she muses. "I thought we had managed to recover at least the bar. Fortunately, I have Bert's card and the wand. All will be well momentarily."
Swish! Swish!

There's the squid and the Jell-O Pit and the glassware and furniture. Bar is replenished. Cat is in the rafters. Liz is stuck in the loo.Rapaire is stuck on his own sword.
All is well.

"Now where's MMario? I am famished."

Sage struggles through a window over near the closet that leads to the Recovery Ward. This not-too-subtle arrival follows the screeching of brakes in the parking lot behind the Tavern.

Whew. Made it. I started a simple thread last week and it got kind of lively. I need to hide rest for a few minutes.

What's a good drink for Sunday morning? A mimosa? Someting with juice? I'll have one of those. Would you bring it over here--I'll be at this table in the shadows, with my back to the wall and watching the door.

Whew.

Glass of mead, please, plus a plate of red-sauce-topped chips, and a clogged dancer would be very nice. ;-)>

Too early in the day for beer.... maybe I'll just have iced tea while I read a bit of Southern California news.

Hmmmm..don't see any headlines about volcanoes. Well...there's time yet.

OK gents, get busy fixing Mother's Day brunch for all of us ladies.

I'll have strawberry crepes and a latte.

Stilly wants the fruit juice, Leo. I want coffee - black no sugar and thick enough to walk on. No news of the iceberg, eh? Guess we will have to wait and see. You have locked the southern door, right?

I'll just be over here in the spa with the hot tub and the steam room.

One double brandy alexander, please. Never too early for (virtual) caffien, sugar, alcohol.

Song circle would be nice -- didn't somebody on another thread ask for Seeger's "Old Devil Time"?

Why am I always stuck in the loo? I do come out occasionally... I'd like to be stuck to a bar stool with one elbow on the bar if you don't mind....

Amos seems to have taken our celebration right well, after all. Make that a cold beer this afternoon, I've done about half of the mowing, I need to rehydrate.

Yeah, you wait til the holiday euphoria wears off... then I reckon there'll be sumbitchasswhuppin'.

I need a very very stiff drink now please... Limpit has just arrived home 8 hours late from a school trip... at 3.30am!

That's rough, Liz. I think all those people over at Amos' house are a bit foolish for apologizing. Once he sobers up from his trip, I see lawyers in droves. Of course, I was here the whole time recovering fromn a bout of the flu.

Whew! That was some fun. I didn't apologize; I denied. Big difference.

I've always wanted to try a Long Island iced tea, and I think this might be the morning for it. Cheers, SINS -- and here's to you, Bert!

A miss, Tam? I thought that was another tavern, one on de Nile, maybe. My memory escapes me at the moment. Nothing amiss here.......YET.

Except, maybe, that some joker took Liz at her word and she's stuck to her seat at the bar. A permanent stool sample? Hell, maybe she'd been better off staying in the loo in lieu of her present perdicament....

At least Liz is over her flu, even if she's still under the influence-a.

It wasn't flu, it's a chest infection so I'm not contagious.

However, I am having severe difficulty in remembering my new password... large gin please (and no, that wasn't it)

A good drink for a Sunday morning is of course a "Sunday Morning"

That's a coffee with cream and sugar and a good slurp of Jim Beam. And I mean a good slurp.

Cheers ClaireBear!!! Bottoms up!

Chest infection? does that mean you were a squeaky Squeaks?

If the punning continues I will move to a quiet booth and drink alone. In fact, that is exactly what I am going to do.

See you all later.

More Wheezy again...

Or Snoozy... it's all I want to do.. so fix me up with something that isn't going to go icky and I'll just doze in the corner here til something happens.

The door that leads to Amos's part of the world is very quiet.... suspiciously so... is he alright do we know?

My ultimate summer drink is Gin and Fentiman's Ginger Beer, served really cold but NO ICE! The best way to do it is in a metal flask, left in the freezer overnight. So it'll be ready tomorrow. Should also be served with a slice of lime, so that'll need freezing as well.

Large black Jamaican coffee with a dollop of brandy inner.

Man, the house was a work of pure art. Who'd a thunk there was so much architectural psychosis creativity in the ranks of the Cat?

I am still in the thrall of the gentle breezes and lapping turquoise waters of Ambergris Cay, Belizer, whence I have returned browned and rested. Nursesharks and manta rays and sea turtles, oh my! Diving the coral reefs and snorkeling from desert islands!! Manatee! Mayan temples!! Rum!! Restaurants and room service!! I tell ya, I could get real used to that life. A few of the pictures.

Is that a punching bag and a pair of boxing gloves I see over there in the corner? I need to work off a little stress. While I'm at it, some set me up with a bottle of a suitably peaty single malt...

Oh dear! Anything I can do to make it better, Tami? Besides the single malt, I mean?
