Henry, 'Beech Mountain Folk Songs' p52 Sharp 'FS from the Appalachian Mountains' p32 Owens, 'Texas FS' p90 Cohen/Randolph, 'Ozark FS' p493 Kennedy, 'FS of Britain & Ireland' p453 Sharp/Campbell 'Eng FS of the Southern appalachians vol 2 ' p109 Whilst these are all out of print currently they should be available in good music libraries. Notice, most versions are American. It could even have originated there. It's not very old, probably middle of the 19thc. Spread by broadside printings. |
