I realize - and respect - that many Mudcatters don't care for Hillary Clinton but I personally am quite impressed with her. I am glad that she is in the position she's in.

Hi Ebbie doll, I've always thought Hillary very much a "hawk"...an old style politician and very ambitious.
Her chance will come when the string pullers have exorcised the ghost of the Bush regime and "good cop" Obama is being "reined in". For those who require further expanation, I mean being stopped from making concessions to the "enemies of democracy".....left wing socialist states....Palestinian terrorists....Islamic fundies etc.

AS Obama is pulled back into domestic politics, Hillary will take centre stage in foreign policy and become "Mrs America"....her rightful inheritance as she sees it.

My bet is already laid on Hillary the Hawk as the first female president of the USA.

Well, I was awfully skeptical when she was running, but I do think she has spunk and has her wits about her. I am glad she has landed well and is apparently doing some good int he world.

Ah, but you see, ake, in my opinion your view of Hillary Clinton is yours without a whole lot of credibility. In my view, Secretary Clinton is a political animal - and I am glad there are some such - but whose over-riding passion is a love for her country. If, along the way, she gains a bright legacy, the happier she will be.

I'm a big fan of Hillary Clinton. I wanted Hillary for President this time around, but I'm very happy with Obama. I think she can do far more as Secretary of State, than she could have done as Obama's Vice President. Yeah, Adrien, what IS that guys' name?

I think she's trying to do the best job she can do for her country. She would have done that as president as well, but so far I think Obama is doing a very good job.

I agree with the others - I think she's doing the best job she can, and I think that's going to be pretty good.

I was at music today and my host said he had listened to Sec. Clinton today and kept turnng the channel. Each time his wife said, Why'd you turn that off?

And he turned back to Clinton.

He said he thinks she's smart and is probably doing a good job but he could never be in the same room with her.

What is it with some men? lol

Well, considering the fact that Hillery has umpteen "experts" appointed by Obama to handle the tough guys (practically emasculating her as Secretary of State)she is safely out of his way. Bill and Hillery must be seething because Obama, who is probably the best political strategist (or one of his staff which I suspect is the real genius)has totally disarmed the Clintons. Anybody want to be Hillery won't challenge Obama in 2012?

The idea of Hillary Clinton as ANYTHING, let alone Secretary of State,fills me with dread & forboding.Anyone who can name their daughter after a suburb of London ,has to be suspect!
