Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Rapparee Date: 15 Jun 09 - 06:08 PM Tell them that your standard fee is GBP 750,000, with 50% in cash upfront. |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Amos Date: 15 Jun 09 - 06:28 PM Oh, be reasonable!! Tell them 250,000. A |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 15 Jun 09 - 07:39 PM hmmmmm, maybe you wouldn't have received this if you hadn't changed your name! 15 Anne Listers on one stage ... and all getting free feeding! sandra |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Peace Date: 15 Jun 09 - 08:37 PM "most needed is your estmeed style of music" Anne, the guy's good. Has a little trouble with his diction, grammar, spelling and punctuation, but other than that, how can you go wrong?. |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Peace Date: 15 Jun 09 - 08:38 PM PS It really is a mistake to respond to these assho/people. |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Anne Lister Date: 16 Jun 09 - 02:41 AM This time I'm NOT responding - I am, however, considering whether I should send the correspondence to the various internet hoax/scam sites, as the other stuff never finished up there and maybe it should have done. At least the Queen isn't involved this time! |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: eddie1 Date: 16 Jun 09 - 02:47 AM I would like to know more about estmeed style of music. Is there anything in the DT? If there is big money in it I want to learn some. Eddie |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Peace Date: 16 Jun 09 - 02:52 AM I was wondering if it's an Old English/Middle English word for songs sung under the influence of alcohol made from honey. |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: eddie1 Date: 16 Jun 09 - 03:15 AM Peace - I agree totally, well done! I do think the timing is important - Probably they have to be sung in Eastern Standard Time? Eddie |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: George Papavgeris Date: 16 Jun 09 - 04:30 AM I feel cheated. I have only ever heard you sing, yet Loius Carter clearly knows a lot more than me about your estmeed style of song, dance and drama. And at the Royal Festival of Hall no less.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 16 Jun 09 - 04:52 AM you mean you haven't seen the all singing all dancing dramatic 15 Anne Listers on stage? |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Anne Lister Date: 16 Jun 09 - 04:56 AM or feeding? |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: George Papavgeris Date: 16 Jun 09 - 05:39 AM Sounds like a modern extension to the 12 days of Christmas - 15 Anne Listers etc... |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: A Wandering Minstrel Date: 16 Jun 09 - 08:07 AM Alas some of us can only dream of playing the Monmouthshire Village Hall! |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Rapparee Date: 16 Jun 09 - 08:36 AM I thought Estmeed was some sort of Welsh music/fertility festival held annually every year along somewhere in Cornwall or the Orkneys which celebrated the bees that produced the honey for the mead. |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Anne Lister Date: 16 Jun 09 - 11:53 AM Exactly, Rap, and that's what I've based my style of songwriting, dance and drama on - I thought you would have picked that up straightaway! |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Rapparee Date: 16 Jun 09 - 01:12 PM Oh, I did. I didn't want to show off by showing off. I've always been a big fan of folk songs like the plaintive and touching "Colwyn prys oksentaminen" with its wonderful, ethereal harp interlude with the broken 7ths. |

Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: GUEST,Paulus Date: 15 Jul 09 - 07:04 AM Seems Prof Carter is in Nigeria at present. The originating IP address of the mail was 83.229.101.69 owned by Reliance Telecommunications Limited Reltelwireless, of Nigeria. Maybe the medical school are in Nigeria studying techniques of historically informed operations using on genuine old instruments. P |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Rapparee Date: 15 Jul 09 - 03:59 PM Dissection accompanied by flute and chamber orchestra? I'd like to attend that concert. |
Subject: RE: BS: Have I hit the big time revisited .... From: Anne Lister Date: 16 Jul 09 - 03:02 AM So Prof Chris Carter seems to be the brother of the Louis Carter who contacted me, and they both live in Shepperton at the same address. They do, however, have a different phone number, so that's OK. I do like the idea of combining musical and medical instruments, though, and that he needs to order them in large quantities, and that he can then put on his concert in September. You've got to hand it to them - it's a more original approach than asking you to bank vast sums of money left in dubious circumstances! At least this scam doesn't appeal to anyone's dishonest streak. |
