Subject: RE: Pirates Ahoy! From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 30 Jun 09 - 01:29 PM Just received "The Book of Pirate Songs," Stuart M. Frank, published by The Kendall Whaling Museum, Sharon, Massachusetts, 1998. A good selection, from old ballads like "John Dory" and "Dansekar" to broadsides to selections from parlor songs and popular songbooks. Lyrics and many with short scores. Informative notes and interesting illustrations. |
