I'm enquiring about the UK, but please feel free to post about other countries too, as it may help some other folks.

I'm wading through the jungle of Best Value gas/elec/broadband/phonecalls etc...and I am soooo confused! And yes, I've tried 'confused.com'...but I need to speak to REAL people...and that's getting almost impossible to do!

So, who do YOU use, and why? And are you happy with their service/fees etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OH for the days of instant "Hello, how can I help you?"

:0)

I changed electricity supplier a few months ago. I used the 'switch with which' site to do the comparison & switch. Atlantic Electric & Gas was one of the best prices, and they also rate highly for customer service. I've certainly found them very easy to contact compared with previous supplier.

We don't have gas here, but the figures looked quite different for combined electric/gas tariffs.

Have a look at Utility Warehouse who do good deals on all 3 as a package.

IN the US there is at least one website which offers phone dial tricks to break through menu trees and get the real humans.

We have finally broken through the complexities of bringing a soalr system on line and are quite happy with the reuslts--we are getting 19-21 kwH per day in these summery days and it will keep our bills down into the baseline area all year, I expect.

We use Time Warner's composite bundle for phone over IP, broadband, and cable telly. They are technically competent and reasonably attentive and give good service once you reach a human, which usually takes about five or ten minutes in the queue. Their service has been very reliable over the years.
