We're staying in Cirencester all next week and it would be lovely to join in a music session or visit a club. We'd be grateful if someone could let us know what goes on in the area and we're quite happy to travel a reasonable distance. I have Googled 'whats on in the folk world' but the info on these sites is not always up-to-date and anyway, you can't beat a bit of local knowledge.

Thanks very much.

Try Minchinhampton. Thursday evening at the Crown in the market area - there's a car park round the back of the church, up a road to the right of the pub. Friendly welcome to newcomers.

There is a website on folk in Gloucestershire - Mr Red is involved, so you could try that.

Penny

I've heard there's a session in Siddington, just outside of Cirencester. Details are on this webpage but I believe that it's moved from the village hall to the pub!
