Liz, have you looked at book summaries and reviews of Dylan Thomas' "Under Milk Wood"? I can't imagine that info would be at all difficult to find.

Read Aronwy Thomas's book My Father's Places. She describes her father going to the local hotel and talking to Ivy Brown, the centre of local gossip, who told him many stories that he used in the play.

If you ever get the chance, go to Laugharne, where you can visit one of Dylan Thomas' homes, the Boat House and, a short distance away, the 'writing shed' where he wrote a lot of his poetry. The atmosphere of the place is remarkable.
