Subject: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Rasener Date: 18 Nov 09 - 02:10 PM I can't wait any longer. Will Roy Cropper drown, or will some Shark gobble him up or will a Dolphin lift him up and drop him on the tow path. Please please tell me what happens. Can't stand the stress of it all |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Georgiansilver Date: 18 Nov 09 - 03:38 PM There has been no suggestion that Roy is on his way out of the Street so I guess he must survive eh??? |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Dave the Gnome Date: 18 Nov 09 - 03:52 PM I thought it had been mooted for a while that he may be out of it but I only heard it from my Sister-in-Law who, althoug an avid reader of all soap gossip, could be wrong. Corontion Street - Yay! East Enders - Boo! DeG (from very near the Street:-) ) |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: katlaughing Date: 18 Nov 09 - 04:22 PM I know it's shown years later here, but what I want to know if WHY did they have to kill of Danny on "Spooks" aka MI5 on USA tv channels! |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 19 Nov 09 - 06:31 AM There are so many cars and shopping trolleys in the Weatherfield Canal, he can't drown! Doesn't Tony Gordon's mad eye look like Steve Bell's cartoon Tony Blair? RtS |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Smedley Date: 19 Nov 09 - 06:34 AM If you don't want to know what happens in Corrie, stop reading. OK: Roy survives, Tony gives himself up to the police, Maria finds out that Tony killed Liam (or had him killed), there is a murder trial, Carla comes back for the trial & to resume running the factory. Tony is leaving the series but could return at a later date. |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Raggytash Date: 19 Nov 09 - 06:38 AM How are Martha, Minnie and Ena these days, not watched it for a while and little Bobby, Minnie's cat, he is gorgeous. |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Smedley Date: 19 Nov 09 - 06:44 AM Martha, Minnie & Ena now run a sado-masochistic bed & breafast in Grange-over-Sands. Bobby holds a high-ranking position in the United Nations. |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: John MacKenzie Date: 19 Nov 09 - 06:53 AM Tony Gordon relents, and goes back and rescues him. |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: theleveller Date: 19 Nov 09 - 07:10 AM Strange how most of the cast seem to end up in the canal (or in jail) at one time or another. Des's boat was the best - and now it's been reborn in Gail's drive! |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Linda Kelly Date: 19 Nov 09 - 08:26 AM How strange-I thought only women watched the soaps-judging by the enthusiasm shown in this thread I am clearly wrong-or were all you guys just making notes for the wife whilst she popped out to make you a cup of tea!!!! |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Smedley Date: 19 Nov 09 - 08:33 AM It is 2009 Linda, some of us men have husbands, not wives. |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Rasener Date: 19 Nov 09 - 08:37 AM Speak for yourself Smedley. Don't need to make notes Linda, just use Sky+ and pause, whilst she gets me a beer :-) LOL |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Smedley Date: 19 Nov 09 - 08:40 AM I was speaking for myself, Mr Villain, fret not. I just have a profound phobia about being mistaken for a heterosexual. |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Arnie Date: 19 Nov 09 - 09:28 AM Coronation St. really bucks the trend when it comes to unemployment. New characters appear on the Street and in no time at all they're gainfully employed even if the pay is peanuts. There's a somewhat limited choice of a cafe, knicker factory, taxi rank, two corner shops, a hairdresser, garage, butcher and kebab shop but this seems to be enough to soak up anyone looking for work -even scruffy Eddie, who seems to use crutches only when it suits him, has a job as a taxi driver. Notice how John Stape, newly released from prison, is already helping out at Roy's Rolls? Of course if Roy is rescued from the canal tonight, then I suppose Stapey will be looking for another job. |

|
Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Backwoodsman Date: 19 Nov 09 - 11:08 AM Just been watching some amazing drying of paint.....so much more exciting than Coro! The only good thing about Coro is that it isn't full of gobby cockney southern pufftas! :-) :-) |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: Smedley Date: 19 Nov 09 - 11:20 AM And that last phrase underlines why I'd hate to be thought straight...... Stape won't kidnap Hayley - he is a reformed character (and thus rather dull). |

Subject: RE: BS: Suspense - Will Roy come a Cropper UK From: theleveller Date: 19 Nov 09 - 11:52 AM The canal episodes always remind me of The Goon Show.... Valentine Dyall: Ladies and Gentlepong. A funny thing happened to me on my way to the theatre tonight - a steam roller ran over my head. So much for humour. And now pray allow me to tell the story of... Milligan: [Screams] FX: [Deep resonant splash] Greenslade: 'The Canal', ha ha ha [goes off laughing into echo] Orchestra: [Sinister horror theme]……. Lord Valentine Dyall: Hello? Lloyds? I want to add that last policy on my son Neddie. Yes, yes, I want one that covers him in the event of his ever putting concrete blocks on his feet and throwing himself in the canal. Yes, I know it's not likely to happen but, ha, ha, but just in case. |
