Well it's Tom McConville and David Newney actually but I couldn't get all that and the date and venue on the thread title.

They are on at the Wellington Folk Club at Wolviston on Thursday 26 November, 2009 at 8.30 pm

Thanks Geoff,

Its good to have Tom back at the club, its been to long since he was last with us. A lot of you will probably know that Tom had a spot of ill health recently, and actually spent a period of time in hospital while visiting the family and friends in Southampton. But I spoke to him a week or so ago, and in his own words he's doing champion, and looking forward to coming to the Welly. Tom will be accompanied by David Newey who plays guitar in Tom's band. The clubs doing well and the guest nights are always full, so please come early and enjoy another great night at the Welly.

Great Night - Tom was his usual high performance, but Dave was great to see (as a young folk) and what Newcastle folk (thingy) are producing.
His guitaring was superb, technique great, and well done to Chris Newman for mentoring Dave and others .
Most enjoyable night all round

Well said Pete it was indeed a very good night, Tom and Dave were great as were all the floor singers who I managed to get on, very sorry to those who I had to miss out. Tom really enjoyed himself and said he had fully recovered from his recent spot of ill health. Judging on last nights performance he sounded better than ever.

Next week at the club we have the return visit of our club swap with the 'Tynefolk' club (more bloody Geordie's) which is always a great night. There will be a new thread posted for this night.

Geoff(tootler) you were missed last night, give us a call to let us know your ok.

I'm afraid I wasn't well Ken. I have picked up a somewhat unpleasant bug. I went to the Dr yesterday afternoon and have to have a blood test on Tuesday to confirm what he thinks it is. If it is that, it is treatable, but I shall be out of circulation again for a week or two.
