Subject: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: SINSULL Date: 08 Dec 09 - 04:45 PM Whether you are for or against the war, our men and women in the service need our support. Here is a simple fast way to say thank you. Choose a card designed by a US child, add a note and send. http://www.letssaythanks.com/ThankYou.aspx |
Subject: RE: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: gnu Date: 08 Dec 09 - 04:59 PM I send thanks to a particular US outfit a couple of times a year in the form of an open letter and a small anonymous donation for their vets. I try to make a joke or two and just let them know I appreciate their duty, politics be damned (not quite in those words). I have hoped many times that others do the same... for outfits from their areas or whatever. I do the same for a Canuck outfit that is near and dear to my heart. Wonderful idea, SINS. Thanks. |
Subject: RE: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: Janie Date: 08 Dec 09 - 05:02 PM When I clicked the link there was a long delay, then I got a message thanking me for sending a message to the troups and that it was put in a future print quay. Thing is, I hadn't sent a message - I was simply opening the site? |

Subject: RE: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: SINSULL Date: 08 Dec 09 - 07:13 PM As do I. Everyone of them safe in his family's arms. It is not going to happen so I chose a little bit of acknowledgment, respect and love. |
Subject: RE: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: gnu Date: 08 Dec 09 - 07:18 PM Yes, SINS. I hope this thread says on track for their sake. Politics be damned... again. |
Subject: RE: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: Rapparee Date: 08 Dec 09 - 08:47 PM I've never known someone in the combat arms who didn't want to be somewhere other than in combat. Preferably someplace with fair members of the opposite sex, good fellowship, good drinks, and nothing that goes "BOOM" in the night. |

Subject: RE: BS: A Way To Thank the US Troops From: gnu Date: 09 Dec 09 - 11:03 AM I had a request from a fellow Canuck Catter about sending stuff to Afghanistan. I called the only number I could find and was told to contactr the Military Family Resource Centre. There is one at every base. |
