I you are going to do an obit for every entertainer who dies, perhaps you should do one for Gene Berry who died few days back. Burke's Law was a pretty good TV show.

Yeah, I do wonder about obits sometimes. Some people seem to have an obsession with the death of celebrities. I read somewhere that Maud the dog catcher died. Probably serves her right. I sure she took a lot of dogs to their death.

You'll find an obituary here (click). Jennifer Jones was very sexy once, and then she got old and died. Lots of people died on the same day she did. Some were sexy, and some were not. I hope they all rest in peace - not only the ones who get their names in People Magazine.

Joe, I think a lot of women in my generation have her to thank (or blame) for our parents' choice of baby name!

When I saw the age 80, I thought, "that can't be right! She was 90. She did quite a range of parts. As a kid I thought she was so sexy in "Duel in the Sun" and so, so saintly in "The Song of Bernadette".

Agreed with Tunesmith — she was an established actress of my childhood/early·teens, certainly more than a mere 3 years older than me.
On checking, indeed, Halliwell's Who's·Who·In·the·Movies gives her birth date as 1919 = 90 years old.

I didn't see that Gene had died. TV Western fans will remember Gene as Bat Masterson the most suave tv western hero of them all.

Gene Barry oh that takes me back. I can call the sultry tones of the no doubt sexy beautiful model who said: "It's BURKE's Law" and the swell of the swinging theme as the titles rolled. Usually just after a hand with gun had come from behind the curtain to commit the murder.
Gene Barry earlier had been the hero of the most modern version of "War Of The Worlds" that was any good.
Gene Barry also played Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof at the Circle Star Theater in Santa Clara.
