Subject: BS: Who remembers cats w/guitars UK vid?
From: katlaughing
Date: 03 Jan 10 - 07:41 PM

we had a link, years ago, to a hilarious video of cigarette smoking hard-rock, maybe punk?, playing cats in front of a pub in the UK. The same site had many more equally fun videos, but it was my fav. I have the name on the tip of my tongue, but it won't quite come to me, so...I think it had "good, though, or show" maybe in the addy. Anyone remember it and have a link? Thanks!!

Nevermind. It finally came to me: RatherGood.com. That's not the right video, but the same kittens. I can't find the right one. Warning, some stuff on that website may be offensive to some.

It nmay (or may not!) be of interest to report that the clever man behind that website now earns huge sums making TV & online ads for big UK brands & companies - ad agencies saw his site and snapped him up.

If you like funny cat stuff you will probably like these animated videos at Simon's Cat.

(Is there a better thread on which to post this kind of thing?)

Oh, I LOVE Simon's Cat. I've seen them before, but not animated. Didn't know about the site, Jim, thanks! This is a perfectly fine thread to post, imo. I may change the title to reflect that.

I don't think I've knowingly heard Elbow before, that was pretty slick. Rather skiffle-ish. What do you call that rhythm?

Not sure, Jack, but I love the syncopation of it. It's infectious. I've just had a look for Elbow. Their website front page is heavily loaded, so I didn't wait for it. They have some songs on MYSPACE and I REALLY like the song I am hearing, right now, "Running to Stand Still."

Well, those songs were quite different from Independent Woman.

I was mistaken. I had seen the first Simon's Cat video, the Cat Man Do one. Have always loved it. I have two cats which are like that!

I was unaware of Simon's Cat. I now know that my life has been without meaning.

Haven't laughed so much in an age.
