Subject: RE: Jerry Rasmussen new website From: katlaughing Date: 16 Jan 10 - 03:32 PM I wondered if it was Caroline. She has such a lovely voice. I really like the others, too, but that one really stood out, for me. Dan, the blue IS much easier to read than the red. It is also more complimentary as Jerry's shirt if a lovely shade of blue. Great job, both o'youse! |
Subject: RE: Jerry Rasmussen new website From: Jerry Rasmussen Date: 16 Jan 10 - 02:17 PM Hey, Kat: I'm glad you like Silver Queen. The harmonies are from Caroline Paton and my friend Colin Healey of the Ash Creek String Band. Jerry |

Subject: RE: Jerry Rasmussen new website From: olddude Date: 16 Jan 10 - 11:48 AM Thanks folks, to do a great website you have to be a graphics artist which I am not even close to being. I develop large scale business internal web apps and as such the looks are not important only the functionality. Unlike a web for the world where looks is the dominant factor. Although I know the software like the back of my hand my eye and skill as an artist is very lacking so any suggestions on color or such is most appreciated. The code driving it is quite complex it is Java, JSP, with and XML layer to allow Jerry to edit his own content at home any time he wishes. However my attempt at layout is always far below pro ... so if you do have suggestions I don't take offense I welcome them Dan |
