Subject: BS: Funds released to help with heating bill From: katlaughing Date: 27 Jan 10 - 06:52 PM I thought some of you might be interested in the following which our Senator Bennet sent out in an email about a portion of the money coming to Colorado: The funding is part of $490 million released nationwide and comes on the heels of a bipartisan letter Bennet and 48 of his Senate colleagues sent President Obama urging the release of LIHEAP contingency funds to help millions of families nationwide struggling with severe cold weather, rising oil prices, and a difficult economy. We don't qualify, but those on fixed incomes and disability, etc. might...or, maybe just a puir folkie.:-) I hope it helps some, at least. |
