"But Lewis, you'll be relieved to hear, is no racist. Shucks no, he says. It's just that white fans are tired of black players (cover your eyes, Kobe, D-Wade, LeBron) who rely on "street-ball" athleticism to make up for their lack of fundamental skills."

The issue he has not yet addressed is that chimps CAN run for president. A chimp who expects to succeed CAN succeed! Chongo is proof of that.

Someone should promote a basketball league for short people! Have you ever noticed how SHORT people get so little or even no representation on basketball teams? It's shameful and disgusting. The SHORT league could adopt the old Randy Newman song as a theme song to kick off their games. No one over 5'6" would be allowed on the teams. ;-)

Lewis is obviously longing for the America of his small-town youth, a memory that resonates strongly in his subconscious. In my small town school in upstate New York, for example, the entire student body was White kids...and one Asian...so the basketball team was White too, naturally. I can barely recall ever seeing a Black player in the other high school teams we played against. That's just the way it was in those little towns. It was all White folks. The Blacks seemed to all be living in Syracuse, as far as I can recall...there sure weren't many of them outside the bigger metropolitan centers. Lewis feels nostalgic for the times he grew up in and he wishes it could be that way again. It never will be. Life moves on and things change.
