Subject: Sessions in London on Thursdays? From: GUEST,matt milton Date: 02 Feb 10 - 12:55 PM Are there any sessions (Irish or bluegrass, but anything really...) in London, UK, on Thursdays? I had a look at folkandroots.co.uk and also at traditionalmusic.co.uk, but I'm not 100% confident all the evenings listed are still current and running. Is there a session on Thursdays at the King & Queen on Foley Street? Certain websites suggest there is. Anyone go to this? |

So many cancel or change at short notice. this site updated last month so may be accurate. Session.org redirects to Yellow Pages, did you mean thesession.org Gusty? |
Subject: RE: Sessions in London on Thursdays? From: GUEST,matt milton Date: 03 Feb 10 - 09:56 AM thanks for that thesession.org was very useful - being able to search for a session by country, town and day of the week. I noticed there's one in Camberwell, which is walking distance for me. I'll check if it's still going. Blythe Hill Tavern sounds fantastic by all the accounts. Though I suspect I'd probably need to brush up on my tunes. Maybe I'll go along for a listen first, keeping the fiddle well hidden till I know what's what. |
