I am lookinng for guitar chords to accompany Three Rusty Swords and The Dusty Miller both in 3/2 time and key of G.

Can anyone point me to a source?

Yo might try the session Les - Session for example - not sure if there are chords in there but sometimes are (even transcribed a couple myself)

Thanks Nick. I did have a look at The Session. It's excellent for basic dots but doesn't seem to have chords - fair enough I guess.

I have had a look on some other tunes sites. Some have chords - but so far not for the version of the tune that I am seeking.

I guess some one out there will play this in 3/2 G and be able to help

Versions, versions, that's part of the problem. I have the dots from The Bollin Morris Tune book. They have collected all the tunes they dance too. I have searched quite a tunes sites and found no chords.

However, I see that the ABC explorer has a facility for adding chords. It does warn that they may not be totally appropriate.

So thanks to all. when I nail down the correct ABC file I'll see wher that takes me.

My experience of programs that add chords to tunes is that they are quite dreadful, never mind not totally appropriate. Just play what sounds OK, or wait for constructive replies on here.

first two tunes are in Nick Barber's "English Choice" complete with Chords published by Mally

Looking at the version of TRS in Offord, maybe this? (simple as you can get)

  G - - - - - | D - - C G D | G - - - - - | G - - G D G :|
  G - D - C - | D - - D C G | C - G - D - | G - - G D G :|

The main point is that the harmony needs to track the hemiola. Maybe Am instead of C in places. It's from the late 17th century, so 7ths are not in period.
