Subject: Req: Guardian Angel (Rosemary Woods) From: GUEST,Philippa Date: 29 Oct 00 - 09:12 AM Can anybody supply lyrics and maybe abc/chords for Guardian Angel by Rosemary Woods. It's about trying to help a woman who is in an unsatisfactory relationship and drowning her sorrows. I have tow albums of Rosemary Woods (also recorded at Colum Sands' studio) but this song isn't on the recordings. Has it been recorded? |

Subject: RE: BRIEGE MURPHY, ROSEMARY WOODS From: Fibula Mattock Date: 08 May 02 - 09:21 AM Philippa - Rosemary Woods comes from my hometown (Portaferry). I imagine that given it's such a small place it would be easy enough to get the info you need. I'll do a bit of querying and see what I can come up with - I'm not there any more but my family is, and I'll ask them. |

Subject: Rosemary Woods From: Felipa Date: 11 Jun 20 - 06:47 PM I suddenly thought of Rosemary Woods today, wondering what happened to her. I'm just after doing a web search and I see a death notice for a Rosemary Woods from Portaferry, who died last autumn. There's also a 2015 mention of her extolling the complementary therapy services for cancer patients in Portaferry. Is this, alas, the same Rosemary Woods the singer; dying after a long illness? |
Subject: RE: Briege Murphy & Rosemary Woods (Irish Songwriters) From: Felipa Date: 13 Jun 20 - 10:08 AM unfortunately, Rosemary Woods died of cancer in Sept. 2019. She had dealt with the illness for several years; as long ago as May 2013 she featured on Colm Sands folk programme on Radio Ulster about how music and friends helped her deal with illness. But I had not heard any of this until I started looking for info of Rosemary on the internet a few days ago. |
