Blimey, guess what I've just found in a biscuit tin in the attic;

I'm surprised kodak ever processed them !!!???

..the mrs did look well fit back in the the early 1980's.

It was a right bugger setting the camera up on a tripod
so I could trigger the shutter remotely with my big toe.
But, well worth the money for that short evening photography course
at the Bristol Watershed.

Though, I can see neither of us has kept in shape well enough
to do any of those poses ever again.

Dare I risk reminding her, or shall I hide the tin back in the attic
as a gloriously mischievous surprise for any younger members of our family
who'll one day have to clear out our house and dispose of our earthly possessions... ???

and I'll not be surprised if most families will have to deal with
the reality and practicalities of close relatives home made 'art' photos and videos..

..actually, probably already..

either toss 'em out NOW or digitize 'em on a password protected disk. (Yeah...you can get a program that will ask for a password whenever the disk is put in a PC)

Just scan 'em (see my post elsewhere) and stick 'em up in max res on Flickr.

Don't forget the link on Mudcat, we don't want to spend all week looking for them....

By the way, use a cable release next time, big toe triggering tends to knock the camera and tripod over, which can be painful.

"Don't forget the link on Mudcat, we don't want to spend all week looking for them...."

and don't be too disappointed when everyone says, "Oh heck, there's lots of free stuff that's a lot better!"

Standards are pretty high now that everyone has fancy digital cameras...

My sibs and I found found the prints my father tucked away at the back of his clothes-closet, when we cleaned out their house for sale. Good job they had their own darkroom.

Mama was quite fetching, artistically posed with her long hair, a strategically placed book and a glass of wine; papa hid the family jewels behind a plaster mask and looked distinctly uncomfortable with the whole procedure. Wonder whose idea that photo session was?

I think in the end my brother gave the photos a dignified burial, which made me rather sad. I didn't think they were anything to be ashamed of; in fact, I was quite proud of my parents for taking them. (They were married in 1937, by the way, and the photos would have been taken not too many years later.)
