Subject: RE: Familiar Mudcat names on You tube From: PoppaGator Date: 29 Mar 10 - 01:59 PM I'm sure that many folks who have posted videos have chosen to, or been forced to, use different NAMES on You Tube than on Mudcat. It'll probably be an ongoing project to maintain some kind of "directory," if only in the form of references to the two (or are there now three?) "catters-on-youtube" threads... |
Subject: RE: Familiar Mudcat names on You tube From: Amos Date: 29 Mar 10 - 02:02 PM Also, if you filter on "FSGW" you may find Getaway videos that don't appear under user names, such as the "Jelly Rollin'" late-night blues rendition I tripped over recently. |

Subject: RE: Familiar Mudcat names on You tube From: Genie Date: 30 Mar 10 - 12:02 AM Yes, Amos is right. If you do a YouTube search for "FSGW" or "FSGW Getaway," you will find quite a few videos from various years' Getaways, etc. And there are many other Mudcatter videos there you can find by searching for "Mudcatter." I've suggested that Mudcatters use that term as one of the key words for their videos, because the term "Mudcat" has too many referents (to people, marine dredging equipment, catfish, etc.) and will get you umpteen gazillion listings. I have a channel on YouTube, with some Mudcatter and/or Getaway videos posted, but most of my channel isn't Mudcat stuff. |

Subject: RE: Familiar Mudcat names on You tube From: GUEST,Allan Connochie Date: 06 Apr 10 - 03:17 PM Thanks Jack and yes I've met you and your good lady a couple of times in the session in the Cobbles. Next time you come down we now also have earlier open-mic spots upstairs in the Black Swan. Obviously the Cobbles can be so noisy (not complaining cos I love the pub session atmosphere) that these slower quieter songs can be hard to get over so folk tend not to bother - but now we can do those earlier in the Black and still have the good old singalongs later on. |
