I remember reading this old Guitar Player interview with the Late Jon Martyn and he went on and on about the wonderful 12 string guitar Bridget St. John had but he never discussed her and/or her music.

Just seen Bridget and Mike Chapman in Cottingham.A great night.Two massively talented artists at the top of their game.Some people have ears to hear,some don't.It was a fantastic night,topped off for me when I finally got to meet Bridget after being a fan for nearly 40 years.I even got a hug!A beautiful and gracious lady.Come back soon,Bridget.Love and blessings

Well I for one am surely looking forward with relish to the upcoming gig in Southport on Thursday, volcanic ash not withstanding! It's at the Park Golf Club, just round from the Promenade. The Jumblequeen and Fully Qualified Survivor, together on one bill is something not to be missed.

I seem to remember being pressed into dropping her home in my ancient Ford Consul after a gig at our college folk club, must have been 1968/9. But I can't remember anything about the gig.

I remember Bridget performing at a financially disasterous rock festival at Rugby in 1969, offering (from the stage) a return ticket to London to anyone who wanted it, because she had a lift lined up. Incidentally this fest had an amazing line up.... Genisis, Supertramp, Free, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Strawbs, Edgar Broughton Band, John Dummers Blues Band & lots more inc The New Modern Idiot Grunt Band.

Actually, Clive, I'm just jealous that I can't go. I used to love Michael Chapman's records back in the early 70's. Could be a bit of a grumpy bugger live but a great guitar player. Started to look a bit like Jimmy Greaves as he got older.

Don't remember much about Bridget. As it happens, I named my daughter Bridget but there's no connection there either.

There you go. Now you've got your poster: 'An Evening With Saint And Greavesy'.

Last evening = one of the best nights I've had in a Folk Club in many a while. Do catch 'em if you can on this tour. You won't regret it. Bridget's vocals are as emotive as ever and Michael's dry wit and 'how-does-he-do-that?' guitar, truly memorable. An inspiring performance - thanks you two. Onwards and upwards - literally - the Isle Of Bute tonight.
