SianH if you have a Facebook account I am on there as Tim Leaning and many of the people in my friends list are from that area and either organize or attend the many venues for music in that area. I am sure they would be helpful to you in finding somewhere you would enjoy visiting.

Very good photo's from Twanglers missus.

I only recognise 3 people, Burton Coggles, Mr & Mrs Sooz.

Who the hell is that person on picture 61/61. Doesn't look like a folkie to me. No Beard.

I don't think there is but you could give them a ring to find out for deffo.
Its somewhere near the top of the page.
There is a good open mic at the Station Hotel in Loftus every Thursday but it is mixed so you get a bit of everything all welcome whatever level or style of performance.

LOL
was being a bit tongue in cheek re weather mate.
There is a nice weather proof pub a the center of things with quite a height advantage over the waves.
I hope its not hot so we have to keep drinking all the time.
I really hate it when its so warm you need beer just to keep yer singing bits oiled.

Given the way the weather has gone from fine to foul in a day recently, I wouldn't hold your breathe if I were you.

The Black Bull Bender (weekend before last) was fine weather Fri pm/Saturday and rain all day Sunday. Still a great weekend, though.

I've sorted out my other commitments for the weekend, so I'll be there from Wednesday until mid-day Saturday. I've booked into the campsite. The fixed-price camping fee is set to raise some money for the local school, which is fine by me.

Looking forward to it.
