I've made the big time! I'm on Google StreetView.

I was impressing Anne with the views of our house as you come along the lane, and turning right into our drive. She pointed at a blur and said "What's that?".

I zoomed in, and there I was! Fifteen yards up the drive - quite clear.

Before all the ladies get excited, the view is not impressive - a 73-year-old, in shorts, strimming the rough grass at the edges of the drive.

But I'm on StreetView! I've made the big time!!

Something fun to do:

Start with the satellite image of the earth and zoom in more and more until you are looking at the street view pic ...

... Hey presto - the first mudcatter visible from space!

Anyway, I don't care. We're making a family thing of this.

My daughter is also on Streetview - walking towards her car at a farm in Shropshire, 50 miles from where she lives.

She looks better than I do, even with her face blurred.

GE is fascinating. I love "going to" cities and looking at the architecture, the infrastructure, and so on.
