Subject: RE: BS: Clegg resigns UK From: Ron Davies Date: 26 May 10 - 09:02 PM Man, you sure know how to get attention with a thread title. That would be huge news. |

|
Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Geoff the Duck Date: 27 May 10 - 06:15 PM Joe - Deputy Liberal has resigned as Deputy Liberal because the Tories (Republican equivalent) have given him a job as their stooge. Not impressed but thread title is definitely trolling. Quack! GtD. |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Arthur_itus Date: 28 May 10 - 03:28 AM Why would I be trolling GtD It was a news clip that was interesting and I wondered in the first instance why he had done it. |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Geoff the Duck Date: 28 May 10 - 03:56 AM If not trolling, I will apologise personally to you, but what I see is :- A pointless non-article about a pointless politician resigning from a pointless non-job. Not worth bringing to anyone's attention. The thread title designed to make it appear that something important had happened, but the article is just unimportant. If he had resigned as a politician , the thread title would have been appropriate but all he has done is jacked in a time consuming non-job to concentrate on a government post. Hardly surprising. Definition of trolling - putting out a provocative thread title to see how many (originally multi hooked baited line for fish) you can catch. If the cap fits... Quack! GtD. |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Arthur_itus Date: 28 May 10 - 04:28 AM Well I happen to see it different to you. I saw the headline Cable resigns on the BBC news website. He was deputy leader of the Lib Dems and has taken on an important role in the Con-LibDem Parliament. I accept that he can't do both jobs and has resigned as deputy Leader. However, surely that lowers his importance quite considerably IMHO. If the Cons were to sack him, he no longer holds a senior position in his own party. He has put a lot of trust in Cameron. Is that wise? >>A pointless non-article about a pointless politician resigning from a pointless non-job.<< I do not share your opinion and find your comments insulting to Cable. So Quack to you as well. :-( |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Arthur_itus Date: 28 May 10 - 05:00 AM Actually, Geoff, what makes you so knowledgable and authoritive about MP's? |
|
Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Arthur_itus Date: 28 May 10 - 03:21 PM Well come on Mr Duck. What makes you so specialist on Mr Cable? It's too easy to be critical, but you need to explain why you think Mr Cable is such a pointless politician! Quack |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Arthur_itus Date: 28 May 10 - 05:09 PM OK so you are spouting off for the sake of it Mr Duck. Quack Quack |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 28 May 10 - 07:02 PM The resignation sets off an election for his successor which will likely be pretty divisive, with candidates vying to show how distant they are from the Tories, and implicitly, from Nick Clegg. An interesting ploy by Vince Cable, who I suspect had just that idea in mind when he resigned. |

Subject: RE: BS: Vince Cable resigns UK From: Arthur_itus Date: 29 May 10 - 02:48 AM MoH You may well be right. It will be interesting to see what transpires. |
