OK well thats not entirely true, it is my husband who needs them.

I know there are people here who don't like this sort of thread - so if that is you please don't bother reading any further......

I haven't been around for a while in the threads although I do pop in and have a quick look every so often......the last time I asked you all to do your "stuff" was when my sister was very ill (she's keeping very well now - thanks).

After losing a lot of weight and now becoming very jaundiced Mark has been admitted to hospital and it is looking like it is not going to be something pleasant, he has a major scan and exploratory laparoscopy today...... and I'm sure is dreading the outcome although putting a brave face on it,

our two teenage kids know he is sick but just not "how" sick..........

it is very easy to slip into the negative thoughts (doesn't help when you're a nurse either!!)

anyway........ I would be grateful if you would all pray, meditate, light candles and do all those other wonderful things you do.....

alison, I will include him in my meditations and my healing rituals, (Teenage kids??? has it been so long?) and some of the energy from todays Beltane Ritual, which was very strong too, my thoughts are with you both

There are things that cause jaundice that can be fully recovered from. (My daughter has a story like that.) Here's hoping you find the reason, affect a cure, and he's on his way.

you have no idea how much these good wishes help,....... when sometimes you just feel so helpless yourself it is amazing the strength you can get from others....

it is the pancreas, but it looks like it hasn't spread and so is operable probably next wednesday when they have sorted out the jaundice a bit. He is not out of the woods by a long shot, but the news could have been so much worse

The Tale of My Floof Cat

Perandy the floof cat and I were introduced when I was 7 and he was 6 weeks old. We became close friends almost immediately. By the time I was 13, we spent most of our time together. He napped on my homework, slept with me in my bed, followed me around the house.

That summer he had jaundice. The vet said he had a tumor on his liver. The vet said he might live 6 months.

Well Perandy lived six months. Then he lived 11 years. He was not quite 18 when he died from a gum infection.

Moral 1, sometimes doctors are mistaken.
Moral 2. It's important to floss.
