Unless you have just landed from Mars then ya'll know that Labron James has bolted from his home state of Ohio and more importantly the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team afetr 7 seasons to play for the Miami Heat...

Some folks say he shouldn't have left...

Some say he should have but should have done it differently...

Some say "Don't worry, be happy" (99.9% of those polled in Miami today)...

Some say, "Who's Labron James???"

So, what's you say...

BTW... Seein' as Spawzer is an Ohioian, I'll be especially interested in hearing his take on this thing...

Dumbest fucker on the planet. Sure he gets the money but he actuallly thought his Cleveland fans would understand and wish him well. Meaanwhile in Cleveland they are building bonfires out of anything with his name on it and if the guy shows up in Northeast Ohio soon, he will need a police escort!

If you know how much Cleveland sports fans hate and detest Art Modell, just figure LBJ is right up there very close to the top with him! Does that explain the "Ohio" point of view?

I could personally give a shit less but what makes this one so personal to so many here is that he is a born and bred Akron native who even has the word Akron and the 330 area code tattooed on his right arm (along with a shitload of other tattoos). He went straight to the NBA and the Cavs from high school where he'd won every honor available in basketball statewide.

It is unbelievable how much the sports superstar affects the local economy and way out of proportion but it is what it is and while Miami celebrates, Cleveland and most of Northeast Ohio are going to take a major hit.

I read that this is going to cost Cleveland $150M in lost revenues from people coming to see Labron... That's alot of dough for a very depressed area of the country...

I guess my beef is more in how Labron did it... I mean, Cleveland has been very good to Labron and paid him a ton of money... I think he should have gone to the owner of the team and told him of his decision... I think that would have shown at least a little class rather than announce his decision from afar...

Ahhhh... they don't entertain millions of people on TV, creating great sums of advertising $. They don't fill hundreds of thousands of seats for big bucks. They don't have short careers doing something they are good. They don't risk serious injury at least five days a week for months every year. They don't spend a lot of time away from family and home.
