Aye and with fiddlers of the calibre of Bruce Molsky, and many others I'm surprised that so little has been said about it.

just on my way home from the fiddle festival (billed as the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention). Fantastic! masses of workshops on all manner of styles, plus various dance workshops, a conference and performances from Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Hass, Bruce Molsky, Paul Anderson, England's own Paul Burgess (and Will Duke on concertina) and Sophie & Emily Ball, plus Cape Breton, Newfoundland, US, Swedish, Norwegian....... etc etc. Excellent atmosphere. Next one - perhaps in Derry in 2013!!

I would certainly vote for Derry as a venue!
the annoying thing is both this year and 2006 I didn't hear about this event until it was too late to attend it.

I see an option for joining the mailing list (free registration required), which might mean one would learn about next year's dates earlier. Sign up here:

The last NAFCo in Aberdeen was reviewed in English Dance & Song magazine, and this one was advertised 3 times and previewed in EDS. Join the EFDSS, get your EDS magazine, and find out what's happening!!
