I am hungering for a digital or CD-ROM VERSION of Trapezoid's "Another Country," in particular the songs "Wagoner's Lad" and "My Lagan Love." We no longer have a tape machine to play back a tape, and haven't been able to find it either in CD-ROM or from a digital store (e.g., Amazon, iTunes).

Please help! I will be so grateful. I miss these songs so much. I think Trapezoid's alto has a Karen Carpenter-like beauty, and I miss hearing it.

I only have the LP version of that recording. Those were my two favorite songs from the album.

Unfortunately, it looks like only Trapezoid is still available as a CD, from Sam Rizzeta.

It is really sad that the recordings of so many of the groups that represented the revival of old time or traditional music, and instruments (and variations on that theme) in and around West Virginia in the early and mid-70's are now unavailable. Same is probably true in other places. Many of these musicians have moved on but the early work is important, and worth a good listen today.

FWI, regarding another group here in North Carolina, when I contacted one of the original members in search of an old, out-of-print cassette, they copied the casette tape to a CD and sent it to me, just pleased that some one remembered and was interested in their early work, even though they had moved on to other music, bands, interests, etc.

I know that particular trapazoid record came out on Flying Fish. Rounder wound up getting their catalogue when Bruce Kaplan died. They might know if it ever came out as a CD.
