Tom just left for Ontario and two gigs there. He was rested and his car`s running OK. Thanks to Adrien and Danny for pulling it together, Ron for suggesting the idea and Tom for getting up here to do it. The folks at Namasthe were great, and the audience was wonderful. Reminds me of why I ever got involved with music in the first place. OK: I drew the mustache on Murdoch. It WAS funny at the time. Great seeing Jeri, and despite no one actually sleeping for a week, it was a great time.

Well, the poster's toast.
The daytime recording sounds better than I thought it would be, though.

I hope Jeri and the rest of you fellow's that Doug's recording (my friend)during the afternoon and evening came out relatively good. He assured me that he will let me hear all the results. I will than get a copy and forward it to Ron, Bruce and Tom. What they do with it is their business. I will keep a copy for myself of course. If the three amigos.(I guess I should not have stated that name during the event as I think it is already used.)don't mind.

Ad, I'm glad someone other than me recorded the show, and I'm sure Doug's will have come out much better than mine.

For the record, my criticism of my recording was due to me only. Everybody who has ever recorded anything from their seat and picked up every extraneous sound near them, including themselves singing along, knows what I mean. I haven't one tiny little thing about the way the shows were run to complain about, and everything to praise. I'm still buzzing with the music and the amazing vibes of this event at Café NamasThé.

And if they do, you ain't gonna tell them. Heheheheee.

Just kidding. I know you are a man of true honour.

Working on the next item which is a fund raiser for our company. Going to do an event for the local elementary school with money going to the performer, school and ADDA MUSIC WORKS. Of course money raised for ADDA goes back to the children who are interested in taking music lessons.

I've been off-line for a few days... the other gigs went well, Tyendinaga , we had good weather, food, company... Norm's granddaughter, River, got up a played a few songs solo... her 1st time on stage, not the last. She's a natural at 16... we have the 1st set recorded from Ormstown, evening show... and it's surprisingly good, Tom left for Bruce's yesterday and is winding his way back to Nashville with visits along the way... it was a special time for everyone and I'm sure that we'll be doing it again... thanks to all who participated, it was great fun

Tom called this afternoon but I was in Montreal than had to go to the garage as the muffler went on the truck. I guess he is at Bruce's. Will drop by tomorrow and say hi before he leaves on his return trip. Spoke to my Bro and he was overjoyed with the concert and meeting up with Tom.

Ron Bankley... thank you ever so much!

You barely know me from my posts here at Mudcat but you took the time and shelled out hard earned bucks to send me two of your CDs and one of a possible two CDs from the subject gig (hehehe... couldn't resist... it will never be lived down).

I will savour them over the next several days, slowly, if I can.

You generosity is truly appreciated.

Gary

I'm sitting right here listening to them this very moment, gnu... :0)

Ron, *Thank You*

This CD of three of you is sooooooooooo good! I'm enjoying it so much...been laughing away with Bruce, and oh! that bluesy voice of his! And I'm 'watching' Tom's Dad doing The Gandy Dance, and now I'm off to greet the Paddle Steamer with you, dressed in Ava Gardner's green velvet 'Showboat' dress.....(bit tricky getting it to fit where my waist used to be though, but hell, I'll *make* it fit!) ;0)

Gonna listen to yours and JT's songs a little later..

I meant to buy Ron & JT's Thunder Thieves when I was there and never remembered at the right time (like when Ron and/or the CD were there).

If we`d known we were gonna be filmed we`d a worn shorts. In the words of the prophet, shazzam.

However, having seen Tom and Ron`s legs--both of whom look like they`re riding roosters when they wear shorts--Tom and Ron, not the roosters--well, lemme tell you, it ain`t pretty. Sorry guys, but it had to be said.

In our defense, I thought Ron and I looked terrific in our shorts! For many years, while I was still a competetive tennis player, many of my opponents gained great respect for those legs!

You were both in the same pair of shorts? Yes, Tom, you have nice legs. I didn't see Ron's, and every time I think of Bruce's... every time I think of Bruce's... every... no, I just can't do it.

If Tom's buddy Kris shows up, I can only imagine the stories! Just get the Trés Amis together once in a while.

Just to let all of you know, I LOVED that gig!!!! Everyone was wonderful!!!!! As for Jeri's recording of the evenings 2nd show....It came out GREAT!!! The cafe should be selling copies of the 2 evening performances, and possibly the afternoon as well, but I haven't heard that yet....Jeri's sending it to me! I have both the evening sets on 2 cds....I'll see that they are available, if it's cool with Ron, Bruce, and the cafe! What a wonderful day that was!!!!Thanks, Adrien, Donnie, Ron, Bruce, Mandy, Jeri, Brenda from "media magic", the wonderful folks from the cafe, and especially all the friends and neighbors who came out, listened, cheered us on, and made it all so special!!! God bless you! I'd love to do it again! I'll have my people talk to your people! lol!!!!!

Great to hear from you Tom. Can you put me in touch with your Norway connection? I have a couple of chaps that would blow the ceiling off any gig. They played for the café last Tuesday evening as a stop over on a Canadian tour. It would be for 2011 in September.
I'm still waiting for the Video of your afternoon performance and I should be hearing soon from him. I will hold true to my promise of sending you a copy as soon as I get it.
Adrien

I'll be sending Tom the un-diddled stuff I recorded. Then HE can diddle it. I'll send it to Bruce, but Tom's output will likely be better than what I can manage.

Ad, I noticed who was playing, and almost snuck up there. One of these days, I WILL hear them. Y'oughtta do the Trés Amis show at least every year!

Tom, I sent your Mohawk cup out to you on Fri.
No folks it's not a native jock strap... just cool pottery with a groove near the top so your bottom lip has a place to park itself when you pour stuff into your mouth... stay well amigo

Oh me oh me oh my,.!!!!
I have three DVD's of the afternoon and a bit of the evening performance of these boys. Eat your heart out. I think i will keep them for myself. Ha! ha!

Now I have to find somebody who can burn them and then i will send them out to the boys. Well for Bruce i will personally deliver them to him. They are raw but for us folks I would say not bad at all.
Hopefully all will get a visual of the concert soon.

ha, ha... that reminds me of the Michael Franks song 'Popsicle Toes'

"You got the nicest North of America this sailor has ever saw ,
I'd like to feel your warm Brazil and touch your Panama
but Tierra del Fuegos are nearly always froze.
We've got to see-saw until we unthaw those popsicle toes"

nice chord changes on that one...
