Well, this Novemeber there is gonna be a referendum on the California to end prohibition and legalize pot... If that happens then California will have a great new revenue source, they won't have to spend lots of money prosecuting dumb laws and We'tt probably never see Amos again tat the Getaway 'cause he'll be too stoned to find the airport...

But, hey...

...cowabunga!!!

Yeah, and now being as the pot trade will lose money for the drug smugglers and traffickers, they'll have to step up their cocaine and heroin sales. Tijuana will fall into a depression!

Well, seein' as most folks who smoke pot don't do heroin and cocaine that will be a good thing... It will mean that kids won't even be tempted by "the pusher-man" 'cause they won't have to mess with him anymore... Now as fir the heroin and coccaine addcits, even if the pusher-man does try to step up sales the demand is going to ramain relatively constant as nothing will change on the demand side...

Bottom line: more revenue and less expense on California's bedget, not to mention that lotta folks won't end up in the courts for smokin' pot...

The lawyers ain't gonna like it tho... Nor the prison/idustrial complex... But, hey, can't make everyone happy so when they complain California can just tell 'um to go smoke a joint and cool...

Just one teensy-tiny problem, Bobert. California (or any other State) can vote all they want but herb is still against Federal law. That's gotta be changed as well.

Rap... but, might this mean the state pOlice and city pOlice ain't gonna have ta be bothered with all the crap that they are bothered with now. If the feds wanna enforce "the law", they gotta do it, no?

Must be a very small problem, Rap, 'cuuse when Obama came into office he quicky changed the fed priorities in regards to pot and let the states that had approved it for medical purposed pursue getting their programs up and running... Michagan, for instance, approved it and they allready have the 1st pot growin' college in the country...

Can't hurt, pdq... Might even put Michagan on the map as far as being a nice place for vacationing... I understand that the northern part of the state is is real peacefull and rural and so, hey, ya' stick a big ol' Weed-R-Us store in the middle of it an' the happy camper might flock to it, spemd money and waalaa... Less unemployment...
