Subject: BS: Adolescents or obsolescents... From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 02 Aug 10 - 06:59 AM With all these threads about what's obsolete and so forth it occurs to me that there's a useful term going spare there. We all know about the problems of being an Adolescent, and dealing with their oddities. How about those involved in being an Obsolescent, and putting up with Obsolescents? And how should we define the group? |

Subject: RE: BS: Adolescents or obsolescents... From: catspaw49 Date: 02 Aug 10 - 10:26 AM And Bill......Age is irrelevant to that! Yesterday I went to my nephew Ricky's wedding. Nice place at a lake in an arboretum and outdoors on a beautiful day. The minister performing the ceremony was somewhere between you and I in age and began to expound on his belief in God. He said that although "the scientists say the world started with a big bang, they can't tell us what started the big bang so it had to be God." Right............................ Spaw |

From: catspaw49 Date: 02 Aug 10 - 11:04 AM Even though I 'could' debate their logic......Yeah but first you'd have to find some..............Like you I have no proof source either way but why is that so hard either for me to explain or for others to understand? As long as I'm not asked to participate I think religion is great if it makes folks happy but Karen always worries that I'll open my big mouth and say something. We ended up in a food line later behind the good reverend and I asked Karen if I should inquire if he considered his statement inductive or deductive.......My ribs still hurt.......I'd already gotten it once when the guy said "Jesus was right here with us in this ceremony" and I whispered to her that I didn't see him and a blonde haired, blue eyed, African guy ought to be easy to spot, Have I ever mentioned how lucky I am to have found her? As they should! *grin* Bull-baiting is seldom productive, as the bull doesn't understand that it is just part of your exercise program. Now when they knock on your door, anything goes! |
