Subject: RE: Keimaneigh School From: GUEST,^&* Date: 24 Sep 10 - 06:39 AM Dáibhí Ó Cróinín's book on the songs of Bess Cronin has a 16 verse/chorus song in Irish called "Scoil Bhár d'Ínse" which describes a session in a local school which was eventually disrupted by the clergy. Written in 1922. Same area. |
Subject: RE: Keimaneigh School From: GUEST Date: 24 Sep 10 - 07:28 AM Yes, I know that song alright. This is definitely a Keimaneigh/Céim an Fhia song. Written probably late 1970s/early 1980s when the school closed. Must keep searching! |
