I would just like to wish Michaela Breeze best wishes on her retirement from Competitions.
She has done Wales and Great Britain proud and managed to get a silver in weightlifting in her last competition in India.

I am sure her dad John Breeze (AKA Breezy on Mudcat) is mighty proud of her achievements.

18 years...wow. I remember when we read about her in the earlier thread. How proud we were and still are. Congratulations to all the Breezes and here's to whatever she chooses to do now. What a remarkable young woman.

Sorry I been away

To let you know she rang me afterwards to say she was fine.

What was to be was to be.

I had only recently discovered what the 'red' button can do for you

So I was able to follow her every move

She had me biting me nails on the settee as I watched the whole show.

I was slightly concerned when she fainted half way during her 2nd attempt at the clean and jerk. She did go a bit red in the face !

I thought David Goldtrum, the commentator was excellent.

BTW
The reason she is calling it a day is not unconnected to the way she has had her funding withdrawn by the U K National W-L coach who is being very well paid for failing our weightlifters. Wish he would go and swim in the Danube. But , its the way we treat our athletes in the UK.
