Thanks for posting this Vic. Saw it this morning and only live a few miles away from Epsom so we seriously considered going tonight. However, at £21.50 a ticket we decided against it. We'll wait for the next big festival we go to and save our beer tokens.

That being said, I'd recommend anyone to go see them, they're Fab! There are some good clips on YouTube of them somewhere....

They were on at The Sage Gateshead in September and sold out Hall One - it was an amazing gig!

Missed them in Tunbridge Wells last week.

Was looking forward to seeing them at long last, bought tickets and was getting all fired up.....then the CEO asked me to go and look after our Axminster, Devon, office for the whole of that week while the management team normally working there were at a convention en-masse in Denver.

I did briefly consider driving up after work and driving back afterwards, but with the ankle still playing up, 7 hours of driving in one night weren't really on. So my daughter and a friend got to go instead. Bummer.

I have just received this circular from the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. What an amazing achievement for a group that used to play in folk clubs! We booked then at the Royal Oak in Lewes about six years ago. After reading this circular, I don't think that I will be asking them if they want to do a return booking! Yes, it is true: the UOGB is finally making its way over the Pond to get to know some of its North American fan base. Apart from the sold-out gig at Carnegie Hall on 2 November, there are currently still some tickets left for the gigs at the Mary D'Angelo Performing Arts Centre in Erie, PA, on 04 November and at the Convocation Hall in Toronto on 06 November! So don't miss your chance to see us!

On our return to England we are really looking forward to a special gig at Cecil Sharp House in Camden on 11 November: "Waly Waly on the Ukulele - Ukulele settings of Cecil Sharp". This will be an evening of UOGB arrangements of songs collected by Cecil Sharp. The concert celebrates the end of Sharp's 150th birthday year - so all new stuff, never heard before and not to be missed.
