Subject: BS: Final chapter in loss of smell saga From: Donuel Date: 28 Oct 10 - 10:41 AM Last February the Rite Aid pharmacist filled my 2 prescriptions and put the wrong pills in each bottle. By overdosing on one and low dosing on the other my sense of smell was entirely eliminated leaving me prey to unsmelled smoke or bad food. In the place of a sense of wmell was a constant stench of sickening proportions. I told my doctor and he said "Thats unlikely". I contacted a lawyer who advised I see a Henty Henks who charged $15,000 to $30,000 a throw and would not treat but rather measure the loss. I went to a suggested ear nose throat practive and was told to see and pay Henry Henks. The appointment last 90 seconds. 9 months later my smell has more or less returned with many uncomfortable twists and turns. The lawyer is not likely to pursue the case unless I see Henry Henks. In this final chapter it seems that my reward for seeking restitution for injurious negligence is nothing, unless I am willing to hand over huge amounts of cash that in all likelyhood would be kicked back to the lawyer and doctor. It sort of sums up American justice in a microcosom. |
