This is in answer to the somewhat strange thread about the nude painting of Sean Connery, where some women, apparently, feel they have the 'right' to discuss men in a deeply sexist way.

Now, I'm sure that some of those same women would froth at the mouth if men were to say the same sort of things about women, tut tutting all over the place, crying "Men! TYPICAL!" at the top of their voice....

Well, I happen to think that what's apparently good for the gander is also good for the goose, should they want to express themselves in the same sexist manner.

Women seem to think they 'have it all', when it comes to making sexist comments these days, imo....they don't. It's equally insulting to men to discuss them as if they were nothing more than mere hunks of meat to be ogled at and talked about merely as 'objects'..

So, here's Marilyn...

I saw Marilyn's Playboy pic in 1954 or so. Wasn't overwhelmed then. Not my type.

But I see she's still widely available in nude pics.

It's the WWW/internet...almost ANYONE vaguely famous can be found nude or semi..

My late wife Valerie used to talk of 'the erotic zone between the ears'. I am not sure if she made up the phrase or came across it somewhere and was fond of quoting it; but it seems to me to tie up with the slight drift this thread has taken: will certainly explain Arthur Miller's attraction for MM.

Like the pics tho, Lizzie, & entirely take your point.

I also got a "nuthin'" at the original link, but will agree with the the later post(s) that Marilyn has been a popular subject for a long time and lots of pictures are on the web (variously accessible in decent quality, lots that arent' worth the look due to poor image plagiarism).

In the "other copycat thread" Rapaire asserts to being "nude under his clothes," and something like "also nude on the inside," but it's unlikely his agent has driven his fame to that of Marilyn's, as one of Marilyn's XRays recently sold at auction for multi-thousand dollars - so "some of us" know what she looked like "on the inside."

Rap needs to post some usable links to prove his claims.

We know what Marilyn looked like.

I haven't been able to see the pictures of Sean or Marilyn but I do remember some of the glamour poses I've seen of Marilyn and I don't suppose it is half of what is around today. The funny thing is I don't remember her being taken very seriously then anyway. My mother didn't approve of her blonde hair for some reason or other similar actresses like Jayne Mansfield.

The old 60's black and white picture of Christine Keeler naked sitting facing the back of a chair was so much more stylish and arty but I still ended with a slap from my mother for saying so.
