Subject: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Wesley S Date: 09 Nov 10 - 04:44 PM So - has anyone raced out to buy the book yet? Or do you plan to wait for the movie? |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: maple_leaf_boy Date: 09 Nov 10 - 05:22 PM I think the movie will be quite some time away. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Richard Bridge Date: 09 Nov 10 - 06:17 PM It seems from the reports to confess to truly awful crimes against civilisation and the rule of law - yet the idiot thinks that what he says he did is defensible. Truly a man rotten to the core. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Greg F. Date: 09 Nov 10 - 06:24 PM Most reviews pan the book as largely a collection of lies & bullshit (anyone surprised?) But likely some idiot will make a movie of it, probably titled "Mission Accomplished". |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Tootler Date: 09 Nov 10 - 07:08 PM He was on the TV news here today (UK) condoning the use of torture and claiming it had saved lives. Later on in the same bulletin there was a report on the inquest into the July 7 London bombings an act which had claimed some 50 lives. I leave you to draw your own conclusions. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Bill D Date: 09 Nov 10 - 07:36 PM He is, like most weak & inept 'leaders' who have been judged harshly, engaged in an obvious attempt to put the best spin on his legacy as possible....much as Richard Nixon did. He is essentially repeating his own tortuous justifications and rationalization to himself until he probably believes them. He is an embarrassment to all who care about their country's heritage. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Bobert Date: 09 Nov 10 - 08:17 PM Shoot, why buy it... The guy was on every TV channel I tried to watch during the news hour tellin' everything that is in except... ...the pretzel incident, which BTW, I think does a fine job of countering his claim of not drinkin' since he was 40... I mean, pretzels don't make ya' fall down and hit yer head on the coffee table... Well, not that I know of... B;~) |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: DougR Date: 10 Nov 10 - 05:59 PM Tootler: read my post under the thread, "George W. Bush is a War Criminal." My wife bought me a copy of the book yesterday, and as soon as I have finished reading Karl Rove's book on the same subject, I look forward to reading GWB's book. DougR |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Richard Bridge Date: 10 Nov 10 - 06:02 PM Doug - read mine. I will not be adding to his coffers by buying the book - unless maybe to burn it outside the US embassy. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: maple_leaf_boy Date: 10 Nov 10 - 06:06 PM I'm reminded of when O.J. Simpson released his book. They were talking about it on Talk Radio, and somebody called in and said that he would rather get it off the internet for free, rather than paying for a copy. Somebody will post the book on a free site. You can print off the free copy and burn that without contributing to Bush's income. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Greg F. Date: 10 Nov 10 - 06:31 PM Gee, Douggie thinks Karl Rove's Book & Georgies Book are on a par! And for once he's right- they're both shit. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Greg F. Date: 10 Nov 10 - 06:39 PM Douggie-boy: Which of the several assinine, inconsequential and irrelevant postings under the thread, "George W. Bush is a War Criminal" are you referring to? I suppose they're all equally puerile and nugatory , but I'm curious. |
Subject: RE: BS: Decision Points - by George W. Bush From: Brian May Date: 11 Nov 10 - 08:05 AM When you consider what he did for the value of his family business over his period in office, I'm surprised he even has the cojones to write a book, so he can make more money. Oxygen should be means tested. Those with an IQ less than a 1950s bus timetable should be denied it. I'm sure if all politicians' oxygen was stopped for 10 minutes a day, the world would be a much better place . . . |
