I read the Joseph Wambaugh book about this murder case many years ago. I did hear that one of the defendants had been cleared and his conviction set aside.

I've just sent for the dvd - I never saw it when it first came out.

I disliked the tone of the book at the time. I felt that Mr Wambaugh's dislike of William Bradfield's intellectual affectations were irrelevant, and didn't prove him to be a murderer.

Since then I believe there have been several books, and both the defendants have died.

When I looked at the reviews of the book tonight and the film on Amazon and other sites , I was surprised to read testimony from Bradfield's ex=pupils and the victims family.

Does anybody remember the case, and form opinions about it?
