Subject: BS: Wheat free Christmas cake From: Bonzo3legs Date: 20 Dec 10 - 10:07 AM My wife eats wheat free, and whenever I have tried wheat free Christmas cake in the past I have found it to be quite disgusting. However, we bough some from Sainsbury's and it is very good indeed, with excellent icing!! |

Subject: RE: BS: Wheat free Christmas cake From: LadyJean Date: 21 Dec 10 - 11:47 PM My mom used to get a fruitcake from Cincinnatti that was made with nothing but fruit. It was pretty good. I bake for a friend with a wheat allergy. She was the one who told me that the best substitute was Barley Flour and Spelt. |
