Some of you got invites. Some knew they were coming. Just back from the doctor's office with multiple prescriptions. I have bronchitis and am contagious. No way Tom or Kendall can be anywhere near me. No way I can do New Year's Eve and a house concert the next day.

In my defence - I called Buffalo to see how they were doing. Two cases of bronchitis and one of pneumonia. We all caught the same crap over Thanksgiving.

They got one polyp and a bunch of healthy samples just for jollies. I discovered that mixing lemon Crystal Light with the "instant poop" solution turns things a day-glow yellow. Probably looked like someone had been blowing sunshine up my nethers. Miserable couple of days, but I feel OK now.

Glad to see you're up and about, Mary, but don't push yourself -- and definitely don't go out unless the house is on fire. Bronchitis has a nasty habit of rebounding on impatient patients, and pneumonia is not yet out of the question.

Ring in the New Year in a recumbent position, perhaps in front of the TV. I find that a nice glass of something mildly alcoholic helps the antibiotics go down, although doing it on one's own feels more than a bit Tiny Tim.

Actually Linda that's how I spent Christmas. Honey, lemon, ginger, hot water and a dash (splash) of JD. Helped me sleep too.
To add insult to injury the heat went out. The repairman is downstairs installing a new circulating pump. Meantime no heat. ARGHHHH!
How did the pioneers do it? They didn't even have microwaves.

We took a pan of Jewish penicillin to Mary's this afternoon and dropped off a couple of Christmas presents at the same time.

She's up and looking relatively well but says that if she does anything she gets very tired. Easy answer - don't DO anything.

I got light-headed at the gym yesterday and cut my workout short. No eliptical. I figured it was because I hadn't been eating much since the Dr changed my stomach meds and they weren't working so well. Sometimes, it's hard to tell if feeling bad is because of the virus/bacteria/gunk or because you've been not eating/drinking/sleeping/moving because of the virus/bacteria/gunk. I don't suppose it matters.

Chicken soup, however, ALWAYS matters.
Take care of yourself, and try to not be contagious for the Cindy/Grey concert. If it's too much of a pain in the ass, I can piss off home afterwards.
