Subject: RE: Happy New Year to all! From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 31 Dec 10 - 08:08 AM well, here it is - New Year's Eve 2010 in Australia's east coast I can hear the crowds in outside yelling, everyone comes to my suburb to celebrate as they have for decades. Today's celebrations are a bit different from the past as we have lots of hotels & bars & clubs & people will be drinking on the streets - in the 1940s the streets were only crowded for 10 mins before & 10 mins after midnight as everyone went back to their to private parties & & here are some jolly revellers from 1948 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL sandra best wishes to you for 2011, Skarpi |
