When times are hard, people really treasure moments of pleasure and beauty. I'm sure those fireworks gave pleasure to many, many people suffering financial hardship.

Well, it certainly rivals what was done in Richmond, Maine, this New Year's. There were a few folks down at The Old Goat Tavern wearing glowing necklaces but there wasn't even a major brawl to close out the year.
